I have just purchased a 1993 RX7 Touring model which has had no modifications. I did not puchase this car to race and I am satisfied with the intended purpose. But having been read information in this forum, it appears that there are modifications which are necessary to prolong the life of the car. I have 67,000 miles on it and I keep reading that after 50,000 miles the engine may need rebuilt. What is recommended to prolong the cars life?

First do a compression test, then that will let you know where the motor stands...

Search for "compression test" if you don't know how.
