Garfinkle has used amsoil for many years and never uses moble 1 , he will use syntec. He has been at this go fast thing for a long time and knows what works.

Yeah, I would be curious how the Royal Purple compares. Also, what about Neo/Baker?

In all the charts I've seen (ones Royal Purple have been on), the only oil to ever come close to Amsoil is Mobil 1. The rest are far behind. So no, from what I've seen, Royal Purple does not match up to Amsoil.

The rednecks on speedvision got like 9 HP from a switch to Royal Purple lube..

Gains like that are not uncommon simply by switching to a synthetic lubricant.....

i run amsoil 20-50 synthetic.......this is what chris @ rp recommeds with the streetport motor...so that's all i have used since then.....
