Question Mobil 1 75W90 gear oil vs. Red Line 75W90

is there a difference? why does everyone say to use Red Line in the Transmission and Differential? would i be ok with the Mobil 1?

The MTL has some added ingredient for smoother synchro engagement. The differential is just strait 90 and I don't have a preference for that. Although I did mix NEO HD in both but it's $17/bottle.

I ran mobil 1 in the transmission for a short while and had problems with notchy shifting and gear grinding when cold. I replaced it with redline 2 years ago and it's shifted smoothly ever since. The additives they use do make a difference.

so... what you guys are saying is that i have no reason to go with anything OTHER than Red Line... looks like i'll be placing an order soon thanks guys.
