there is a trick to getting it not to fry like most have done...power it off the fuel pump resistor. Mine has been working for ~4k miles no problems. Runs from 700rpms to 3000rpms, it cover the 15mph and 25mph tests.

I beat the air to death until we get lift and seem to have no time to work on my car. This has so far been a curse upon myself AND the car.
What is the point of this thread exactly? What are you taping? I sometimes encounter tape in my job, but not the kind that you use to hold the aircraft together.
In summary:
Tape access panel shut - ok
Tape rotor blade - go home
Are we going 150 kts or 300 kts?
This is an old picture of the mess, but you get the idea.

tape follow-up
Talked to my crew chief friend recently and asked her about tape. She said they sometimes used a high-temperature teflon tape to hold hydraulic lines in position (re: F-16 and F-117). So they do use tape, but not the "100mph tape." We definitely use a lot of that green "100mph tape" on things other than aircraft.
