pulled it off a C4 vette.

there is a trick to getting it not to fry like most have done...power it off the fuel pump resistor. Mine has been working for ~4k miles no problems. Runs from 700rpms to 3000rpms, it cover the 15mph and 25mph tests.

I'm still trying to engineer a blast shield that would come up to shield the driver from the rocket blast when said undesirable passenger is ejected. For now I just tell my girlfriend to shut up. But I think ejecting her would be a more permanent solution.

I beat the air to death until we get lift and seem to have no time to work on my car. This has so far been a curse upon myself AND the car.

What is the point of this thread exactly? What are you taping? I sometimes encounter tape in my job, but not the kind that you use to hold the aircraft together.
In summary:
Tape access panel shut - ok
Tape rotor blade - go home

Are we going 150 kts or 300 kts?

This is an old picture of the mess, but you get the idea.

That makes perfect sense. The resistor will prevent the motor from seeing too much current.

Hah I was a amphibious assault vehicle repair technician in the marine corps,(just got out last month) who says military has unlimited funds maybe the army or air force, we had to rape all of our fallen vehicles in iraq just to keep the good ones up, masters of improvising and ghetto *** repairs but hey it works

i don't know about the af having unlimited funds, i've seen some pretty cheap stuff go on, probably depends on the base though.

All you need to do is "break" some from the wing pylons where the wires fron the encoder/decoder goes to the hook up for the weapon cable then go to the ordies and ask if the got any extra MER cables. That way you will have both sides. Man you are a electronic tech and you can figure that out. I'm a AO and I can figure that. By the way you are getting a new AT soon. Good guy too.

tape follow-up

Talked to my crew chief friend recently and asked her about tape. She said they sometimes used a high-temperature teflon tape to hold hydraulic lines in position (re: F-16 and F-117). So they do use tape, but not the "100mph tape." We definitely use a lot of that green "100mph tape" on things other than aircraft.
