Question Miles on a rotory?

Well i'm thinking about buying a rx7(3rd gen) for my 1st car, but i worry about the motor breaking down. How many miles have u all been able to get out of a rotory? and how much would it cost to replace a dead rotory engine? Thanks in advance.

Hey
the motor can last for any given time depending on how it is set up
usually stock motors will last from 55k-100 some k is the most ive seen
it could really go at any time
if you get a rebuild and it is done right with all the reliability mods the motor could last you years and years
A rebuild along with mild streetport will cost you about 4K if the rotors and rotor housings can be reused.

Do a search using the button in the top right
type in "engine life" or "reliablity mods"

there is a lot of info that has already been gathered on the forum and we usually use the search button first to uncover it and if you can't find it or have a more specific or little bit of a different slant of the question then you ask it here.

Good luck
