Talking Midpipe w/2.5" BOP help cure boost creep?

I really want to go midpipe so bad!!!! I dont want to run into major boost creep, so I have heard people talk about this and I just want to see what you people think. Say with all the bolt-ons and a profec-b, could I use a quality piece of steel with a hole in the center the size of 2.5" or maybe 2.75" as a BOP. This would be mated between the connections of the cat-back and midpipe. So its like a BOP but with a hole in it with the dimensions I alreay stated. Will this be enough to hold off boost creep? Also would I need 2 gaskets, 1 for each side of the BOP?

BOP= Block Off Plate
