I got one from them and it came like that too. But i'm sure it wasn't used there were no marks on it where the bolts go one. or any black carbon sut (sp) inside. Does yours show that? Hell if you don't like it call up and have them send you another one.

If that's how a new Pettit midpipe looks like, that's one hell of an ugly midpipe for the price.

I was lucky enough to bought a used Japan Top Fuel midpipe, for less than half price as Pettit. I have to say Japan does make much better looking product than the U.S, but come to think of it who's going to peek under your car to see how your midpipe looks like.

I would be seriously pissed if they sent me a USED mid-pipe for $400.00. Should have shopped around more. Jason has good deals on his.

What, if any, are the disadvantages of going to a local exhaust shop and having them fabricate one for less than half the price? I know a lot of people that have done straight pipes on other cars in this way.

250 bucks for a stainless steel midpipe with a 3" magnaflow straight through muffler already welded to it. quality is great. its under the car anyways i dont really care if its polished. the muffler is polished and you can see it a little when following from behind at night reflecting the light.

sounds great... i have a canister style exhaust. way deeper sound also. quieter than with the cat overall.

with the silencer in the muffler... sounds stock.

flows too good.. 16psi spikes. i'm gonna take it off and put the cat back on to save my engine.

It's a plain old pipe if so why would brands even matter. I think I paid $125 for mine new but it was mild steel. It was gonna be under the car anyway so I didn't care about aesthetics.
