Miata PPF in a 3rd gen?

Ok, well, I was at a junk yard a couple of days ago and I saw a miata sitting there. I took a look inside and it's PPF was sitting across the seats. It looks to be a lot stronger than the FD's PPF. Its made out of pretty thick aluminum. I didn't take any measurments, but it looked really close to the FD's in size. Does anybody know if they fit?

Excuse the newbie question but what's a PPF? I've been seeing that a lot lately...

Wrong side for one. Ours attach on one side the tranny. Theirs attaches to the other side. I can take pics since I have both.

Two, not strong enough. We break our steel ones all the time. I doubt AL would hold.

Thanks for the replys! I thought it looked to be stronger even though it was made out of aluminum. To bad it mounts on the wrong side. I was breaking mine with just a street ported 13brew. Since I'm putting this 20b single turbo in, I don't know what to do about it. I think I may just make one, agh!
