i took out the igitiong and the fuel pump fuses before trying this of course. no fire!

Another thing guys is i took off my radiator cap and i cant see the fluid in it!
It just started too cause i check my coolant cap often and its usually level on.

check you coolant lines and LIM gasket...could coolant be sucked into the motor."
Hmm how else does coolant get into the motor? any ideas? i know the line from my throttle body for coolant is removed. cant be there...anywhere else?

yeah i dont know how he is on warranting this? like...hes coming to my house on sat to check it out and give me his 2 cents. maybe if the 18 bolts in the rear werent torqued down correctly cud the motor start to seperate once i started boosting it thats why it leaks on the outside and inside? i dunno what to think. I may just have to overhaul the rear housing myself =\

he says hes gonna help me out! i dunno what exactly that means. but better than fullprice.

So what i have to do now is pull the motor out. take him just the motor. And while he rebuilds that, i need to get that turbo, and when hes ready, im gonna bring him the car and he is gonna fab up the downpipe to the new turbo, and he is also gonna do the IC piping.

Im hoping he is gonna charge me no more then 750-1,500. More then that and i dunno what im gonna do =\

too much debt sux.

Wait, so you're positive you have an internal water seal failure?
What did the builder do to verify that the motor needs another rebuild?
What is the failure?

Just asking questions,
Thanks,
Joe

Well he did the same thing i did, cranked it with the spark plugs out, and water kept coming out the spark plug hole on the rear housing. He was sure there was compression tho cause when i was cranking it the battery was weak but you could count the 3 pushes of air consistently.

He thought it could be ...maybe when i had bought the resurfaced housings they took too much off. 3,000 miles tho. what a bummer.

dont worry brothers! i havent given up!

when i get it back, it should be much faster since i will be getting a T60 or T61, instead of that ebay crap. A nicer size front mount IC. and a little more fine tunning for 16psi instead of 14.

Well darn, Good luck on the next one. You'll get it right.

Glad he's working with you on the rebuild, he seem like a stand up guy.

Thanks,
Joe

im having the same problem. but i have 50+k on a rebuilt motor

engine flooded. when i removed the plugs they were wet with water/coolant mixed with fuel.

same coolant spotting/wet around the 2ndary turbos / around lim

got it sucessfully unflooded. didn't "smoke the neighborhood out" just seemed like typical unflood (done 2x before in the course of the past yr)

then 2 days later its flooded again.

^ bump for some answers

how many ways can coolant get into the combustion area?
