maybe i need a new headlight multiswitch?

my headlight multiswitch only works the turn signals and running lights... it doesnt flip up the headlights and doesnt turn the headlights on.

here's the interesting thing: it doesnt even let me turn the brights on by pushing the level forward, i have to wedge a stick in it to hold it back as if i'm pulling the level back...

is this a common failure? i've never heard of it... i'm getting sick of wedging a stick in behind my headlight switch only to drive at night with my brights on!

any help would be appreciated.

I have a good extra one if it is your problem. Not very difficult to change out. Shoot me a pm.

It might be the headlight relay. Try swapping out one the of the fan relays with it and see if that fixes your issues.
