Manual Transmission Assistance

Just had my tranny swapped at my buddy's shop and started checking everything at the house and I noticed on top of the 5 speed tranny there is an opening that I can see the clutch!? Is there suppose to be a plate to cover this? If any can help...I'd appreciate it.

GOOD GOD YOU CAR IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE!!!

j/k. Actually, the risk is that any oil / coolant leak would get onto the clutch and ruin it. You should be able to take a piece of sheetmetal, cut it to shape, and a little gasket sealer to make an effective replacement. Or just pick one up another cover from someone here. In any case, I'd install one before running it more.
