I'm getting two of these manual boost controllers.

Which end goes to the housing, the end opposite of the **** or the end that faces down (perpendicular to the ****)?

Anyone have good success with these controllers? I know there are cheaper ones on eBay but I like the anodized look and I'm going to use a red and a blue one so I can easily tell the difference between the boost controller and pre-controller.
