try to go straight in with it instead of at a angle....if that doesn'y work, grind the hole out untill it slips on. Also you can tap the studs (with nuts screwed on the ends) inward on one side untill it slips on. Hope this helps

Looks like the ebay Fujita copy. A friend and I bought them awhile ago. The flanges for both were warped. We took them to a machine shop and they flattened them out for about $40 each.

Are you saying it has a t3 flange? And if you grind the bottom of the flange to motor were tension bolts go it will clear better. Also i recomend getting shorter studs as the shoulder of the stock studs prevent it from tightining up well unless you use washers but i dont like that. I here your frustration!

Never seen one of those manifolds not fit. Just open the holes up a little.

no they welded the flange that bolts to the motor upside down so if you flip the manifold up sidedown it fits.

There really shouldnt be a difference. The holes should line up either way.

Your right....the exhaust exit will be off center. The studs and the exhaust exit in a way that if flipped around, the exhaust exit will be in a different higher position causing more turbulence. You know you could cut the runners and flip the flang so you can reweld it.

Cast units flow terribly compared to tubular units. If you haven't noticed already, going the cheap route costs you more in the end. Stop screwing around and do it right. If you can't afford to do it right, then you shouldn't be doing it at all...
