Is it mandatory to replace wedge collar after engine separation?

Putting a reman in. A CFDF was installed 40K miles ago. Is it mandatory to replace the wedge collar and the clutch bearing?

i was able to bend mine to accept the new throwout bearing

Yes, you can get away with reusing the old one. If it's really old, I'd replace it just to be safe though. I always replace clutch bearings unless they're only like 25k old.

If possible, make sure you "test fit" the collar and the bearing a few times with the parts out of the car. That way you're not trying to figure out what's wrong if they won't grab onto each other later on.
