making it right

Im fixing up my fd and i dont really have enough knowledge about this stuff because im pretty new to the rotary scene. I return from iraq in 23 days and ive got alot of parts allready and havent started i live in the st. louis area but im stationed out of gulfport ms. i got a power fc, apexi intake, pettite downpipe, resonated midpipe, racing beat cat back, profec b, some gagues boost and egt, turbo timer. the power fc is mapped from rx7 store and im wonering what kind of hp ill be getting i just bought the profec b because i read about boost creep and thought it would be a good idea. can i put all of this on without a tune? im sure i can do the intake and power fc but can i do the brofec b? and another question i got the 99' rims which are 17's and there 8.5 in the rear can i stuff 275's on the rear? so many questions and so little time i want to get this taken care of before i get home but now im not sure what to do i want to go with a single but im going to need a intercooler and fuel system along with a battery relocate. will i be safe and runing ok with the above mods?

It looks like 275 is fine:

Those mods plus a PFC base map are not fine:

Are you aware that you'll need to disassemble your turbos and port your wastegate to run a full exhaust? Since it sounds like you'll be having a shop do the installs, I'd leave the midpipe off the car and use the stock cat until you get that single setup.

You can't hurry mods and do a whole lot at once without running the risk of problems. If you have money but no time, take it to a good rotary shop and give them time and they'll be better equipped to 'transform' the car than anyone else.

Once you install the down pipe, mid pipe and Apexi intake you'll need the profec-B to help with the higher boost your going to generate (in order to stay at stock boost levels) if your planning on runnigh higher than 10 psi the PFC will be the next item to install (if it's tuned for such mods) so far sounds like you've got the bases covered for what your doing. As far as hp my guess would be low 300 range

Despite your inpatience, you are going to have to slow down. This is possibly the worst car to rush modifications with....

Do not put the midpipe on without porting the wastegate or being prepared to add restrictor plates back in.

You can not run 275s on the 17x8.5 wheels. The absolute largest tire you should run on those is 255/40 17.

If you are smart, you will slow down and learn more about what you are doing to the car before doing it. If you don't have the patience or don't want to learn, then find a rotary shop you trust and talk to them about modding stages.

There are many good write-ups on all these mods, many of them are even listed in the FAQ thread.

Thanks for catching that. I only checked to see if 275s would fit on the car - I shouldn't have assumed he had enough wheel.

Come to think of it, 275mm is 10.8". The tire shop would have had a good laugh at that one.
