Oh, yeah... there it is. Sadly, it was only the 4th line in my post, directly after the link you clicked.

The design concept is the same: Outer ring that lights up, inner area that fills when the brakes are on. the diffuser ring makes your unique.

If you weren't so short-fused and self-proclaiming, I was considering purchasing a set of yours as the look and finish is great. Not anymore.

wow. chill man. lots of tails work that way (outer lit, center w/ brakes). using that logic everyone is copying someone else.

example:

it's all in the details, which is what you said, and i agreed with...so i don't really know why you're saying nasty things about me?

anyway you couldn't get my tails if you wanted to at this point - we're sold out. and we have about 20 people on a waiting list. but feel free to hop on if you change your mind and wanna play nice.

You jumped on someone's case for "copying your design" and then asked if they were going to copy your diffuser ring too. And then you kept defending that it was your design. I get annoyed by self-centered nature, and so I pointed out that the design concept has been around for a long time just in the rx7 community, let alone anywhere else.

Then you decide to call me blind... when I had already mentioned the difference between yours and the "general concept" that is out there. I agree that yours look much cleaner than the individually visible led's.

You can be defensive all you want, and I understand how much time it takes to develop a product, and that you are going to be proud of it... but your wording comes off a bit on the arrogant side. I just think you should try a more humble approach.

This is the OP.

First off, my name is Dan, I have no affiliation with whoever that person is with the gobs of money, but if hes feeling generous I wouldnt mind taking a few off those bills off of his hands lol. You cant ban someone for having the same username as someone else who potentially scammed someone on the internet... Even the links "proving" he scammed people dont work. Either way dont affiliate with me that, I'M NOT EVEN TRYING TO SELL THESE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, I can make whichever parts I want to make, when did you be come the tail light ****??????

Thirdly, how in the hell did I get banned for making a build progress thread for taillights when I openly said I will not be selling these, they are one off for my friends FD.

Fourthly, theorie, it seems like ur the one getting all bent out of shape because your charging 500 a taillight, not even providing new housings for buyers and got a little mad when u see some competition. I read through your build thread, and you have a nice set of tails, however mine are going to be much different when they are finished... and have higher quality LED's,more of them and an animated turn signal. I dont need diffusers with my design, which isnt even completed yet. Dont be such a little bitch about a set of 15 year old taillights dude.

...and even if I wanted to make an exact replica of your taillights and sell them to starving kids in africa, there isnt a damn thing you can do about it, so quit crying. I making a one off set for a friend. Go back to your thread and collect your money, I'm going to stay here and update my project until its finished... If you ban me again, then w.e. I'll just be done w/ RX7club in general.

so why did you list the same email address (as the scammer) on your profile? why did you have the same username (as the scammer)? why do you live in the same state (as the scammer)?

because you're the same person.

it doesn't matter if you're not trying to sell anything NOW. you're still a blacklisted scammer on other car forums. and we don't want those types of people here.

also the first time around he said he had a "BMW M3" in his profile, and now it says he has a "2005 Subaru WRX STI"...

he can't get his stories straight at all.

for the record: i want to say that I encourage people to DIY (taillights, whatever...). i have been doing '99spec conversions for a long time now (30+ sets for forum members) and i have always told people to DIY if they so choose, but if they aren't comfortable DIY then send them to me. hell, I even wrote and posted a guide showing how to make '99 tails. if all i wanted to do was sell parts, then why would i be telling people to DIY?

this guy might not be posting stuff for sale, but that wont stop unsuspecting members from PM'ing him and asking to buy a set. when i had my development thread going, i had so many people PM me asking if they could buy a set immediately, and several people even offered to send me money via paypal right away. this is all before the group buy, even when i was saying "no i'm not selling these yet".

so what happens when someone PM's this guy and he says he will convert their set for $300 (or whatever), then they send him their lights and he ends up taking their money & keeping their lights? another successful scam, that's what.

this guy is clearly a scammer-troll, and we don't need that.

they are the same email idiot. ever heard of the google dot trick. a.b.c@gmail.com is the same as abc@gmail.com or a.bc@gmail.com they all get sent to the same place. its a feature of gmail

Sometimes you may receive a message sent to an address that looks like yours but has a different number or arrangement of periods. While we know it might be unnerving if you think someone else's mail is being routed to your account, don't worry: both of these addresses are yours.

Gmail doesn't recognize dots as characters within usernames, you can add or remove the dots from a Gmail address without changing the actual destination address; they'll all go to your inbox, and only yours. In short:
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = hom.er.j.sim.ps.on@gmail.com
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = HOMERJSIMPSON@gmail.com
o homerjsimpson@gmail.com = Homer.J.Simpson@gmail.com

All these addresses belong to the same person. You can see this if you try to sign in with your username, but adding or removing a dot from it. You'll still go to your account.

If you get mail that seems to be intended for someone else, it's likely that the sender entered the wrong address, just like if you've ever dialed a wrong phone number for someone. In these cases, we suggest contacting the original sender or website when possible to alert them to the mistake.

One last thing: Google Apps does recognize dots. If you'd like to have a dot in your username, please ask your domain administrator to add your preferred username as a nickname.

I think i it's plain this guy planned to jump on the success of Tom's GB on the LED taillights and (being that the demand far exceeds the supply) send PM's to members to convince them to send him deposits (and their taillights probably).

I think a lesson can be learned here----Don't be so quick to blindly trust new users with zero credibility or experience.

Even though he's been banned himself, BATMAN's rule on 100 posts before considering buying or selling on this website seems to still hold water.

Everyone needs to start using the iTrader scoring system religiously. That would go a long way to stopping problems if the member has a post count under a hundred.
