Making the Efini Y pipe work with an M2 Medium/Large IC

When I was going through my parts last month I happened upon an Efini Y pipe that was from my first FD before it got totalled by the idiot who pulled out in front of me. I completely forgot I had it and now that I have had my second FD for a little while I decided to start modding it. I happen to have a M2 CAI air box, Turbojeff Battery Tray and the M2 Med Intercooler. As I discovered, the Efini Y pipe with the Hard Crossover will not fit with M2 IC due to the alignment of the intake of the IC and the crossover.

So I took the Y pipe to a local Subaru shop that does a good amount of fabrication work and look at what they put together for me!

Nicely done. I wish I had done mine that way instead I dremeled the top of the y pipe off and too it to a welding place for them to weld a bead on it so the silicon coupler wouldnt' slide off. KKM - he'll have to use a coupler as well since he's using the crossover piece from the M2 set up and not the efini y pipe crossover piece (IC inlet pipe) that would nomrally bolt ot the y pipe.

could have just traded someone for a stock s6 y-pipe + cash and made some money, but hey, fabbed parts are always fun I suppose.

the efini y pipe coming out of the turbos supposedly flows better than the OEM we have. The BOV piping is out of the air path in the 99 so I can see why he fabbed it up to work with his M2 piping...otherwise why buy the efini y pipe to begin with, stay OEM and the M2 slides right in with no mess.
