Major air leak (I think)

Hello guys,

I have a leak that I just cannot find. Car runs fine until the apexi Commander boost numbers go from negative to positive. As soon as I hit positve I can hear LOTS of air just blowing under the hood. Once it goes back to the negative side the blowing stops.

Unfortunatly the car has to be moving to get the noise to happen so I am having a hard time trying to find the problem (air leak).

I have looked everywhere for the cracked/broken hose. The issue happened at the track so I am now thinking I blew the entire hose off under full power.

1) Is there a way to get the car to boost while not moving? Can I lift the rear tires off the ground?

2) Any obvious things I can look for?

Thanks guys.

You have to actually remove the couplers to look for splits. You can't tell visually. Also, check the 1" hose running from the y-pipe to the BOV. That line tends to become disconnected from the y-pipe.

Thanks guys!! Just found it. The vacuum line from he blow off valve was off.

I cannot believe the sound that came from that small hole where the vacuum line attaches. Sounded like a tornado. That would have been the last thing I thought it was.

On another note pops did not tighten down the hose coming off the y pipe totaly. We went out to test to make sure everything was ok after we fixed the vacuum hose. That sob blew off the y pipe under WOT. It banged hard. unbelievable the amout of pressure in the system. I thought he poped the engine. The look on his face was priceless!!!!

thanks guys!!!!!!

Get a new real clamp for it. Once mine blew off the first time, it would not stay on. I also just ended up replacing the hose, as it was pretty damn heat baked.
