maintaining an RX7?

ok all the rx7s i was looking at sold, so now im just waiting for another one to come along in my price range. But ive been reading threads on this forum, hearing people complain about how if you're gonna buy an rx7 buy advil too, how much does it cost to maintain these cars? right now i have an 85 vette and the worst problem i had was a blown radiator hose becase the radiator fan stopped. that only cost me 206 dollars to fix including labor, rx7s sound like they break the bank when they....well....break.

let me give it to you straight...it'll be a lot more than just a radiator hose kind of problem...but it sure as hell is NOT as bad as a couple people on this forum make it seem to be. If you have a decent paying job, with some knowledge, and good patience get the car.

if you buy stock, and you are running good compression/boost when you buy, do frequent oil changes, use 93 octane, and dont abuse your FD and you should be fine (don't abuse includes warm up/cool down)
