Made my own battery tray for PC680.

Nobody made one quite the way I like so this afternoon I made my own. All Al. construction. What do you folks think?

That's pretty damn good handiwork!

I am always envious of people that know how to do metal work.

Is it easy to learn how to weld?

I made it because I knew it should not be that hard. I'm not a metal worker but if I can see something in my head I can build it. Just happens that they have a awesome shop in my building that can fabricate anything. I'm a Lab person not a shop person but I have the inclination. I never welded with AL. before but I asked a guy to show me and it was pretty easy. The ARC of the torch is like a force field that just pushes a molten bead of Al along the seam. Really neat, not my welds but the technique. I'm sure I would do better if I did it every day. It was a fun project. and will look good holding that tiny battery.

Thanks for the comment.

122 and 123 worked for me, but 121 did not work.
Jim, where is your battery mounted, stock location or in the passenger area like bins?

Looks like RX7fan's is for use in the stock location due to the 2 bolt holes for the frame rail. BTW, I'll buy it from you for $100 right now
