Made a DIY video on how to remove the UIM

I had a code 11 and decided to make a video on how to remove the upper intake manifold on my 94 FD. Hope it helps someone. Thank you.

Awesome, thanks. Been looking for a video of this for awhile and surprising there are no good ones. Looking forward to other maintenance videos (how about removing and rebuilding PS pump =)

Thank you everyone! really appreciate it. I also did one on how to fix code 11, it is the same thing, but I talk about the sensor at the end.

the problem with AI/ChatGPT is that people will become so dumbed down and mentally lazy to the point they're unable to think for their self and won’t even be able to remove a UIM on their own …

While I agree with your general sentiment there, what does AI/ChatGPT have to do with the how-to video the OP posted? I'll admit I kind of skimmed thru it, mostly out of curiosity as I've R&R'ed UIMs on FCs & FDs about a million times myself, but I didn't see any indication that it was created by a AI/ChatGPT app.

Edit - Kudo's to the OP for posting this! I had a 2nd closer look at the video and find it is accurate, to the point and useful to anyone who's never done this DIY work before. I learned how to do this stuff years ago, mostly by trial & error and the ancient email "big lists" when they were a thing, so it's nice to see that someone is making the effort now to help out the newbies with these videos.

Get over yourself, man. Just because something isn't at a high enough level to teach TeamRX8 something new today, doesn't necessarily make it dumbed down or lazy. Decades ago in the days of dialup internet and 'the big list', people posted writeups for how to remove the upper intake manifold. I'm glad to see people still working on their own cars.

To the OP, it's a good video, I appreciate you thought to include a photo showing torque specs for reinstalling.

I agree with the last couple of comments - nice to see someone documenting things, period.

I pulled mine again for the first time in maybe decades, and forgot about the connector under the UIM and managed to pull the wires out of the connector. Seems simple but good to have a reminder for that sort of thing even if you are pretty skilled.

If it's not for you, keep scrolling.

I like em. Like most long-time owners I’ve pulled the UIM several times over the years for one thing or another. It’s easy to forget how daunting it seemed the first time. Looks like the OP has a pretty clean car which is also nice for the vid.
Maybe one thing I thought of as I skimmed through it would be to daub a little antiseize on the threads of those bolts going back on into the cast pieces.
