sorry.... its teh bottom of the metal folding frame that folds up underneith the housing. i can cut some of the plastic/fiberglass casing to make more room... however that will only give me a few more centimeters of clearance before i run into the metal frame that plastic assembly folds onto.

PS what HID units are you using?? i have the M3 units which have the solenoid for the bixenons on the bottom. if the solenoid was on the top i wouldnt have too much if a clearance problem. ill take some pics. -heath

When I did my HID conversion, I had to cut the piece that pokes out from the frame. From what I can tell, it's so if the headlight motor fails the headlight doesn't go flapping back. I cut it back just enough that it's out of the way. It still prevents the headlight from going all the way back.

Is that the piece you're referring to?
