the m2 set is completely cherry....the wheels spin with a SOFT breath...the dual garrett ball bearings are that good. try spinning stock turbos with your finger...there is resistance...with the m2 set there was none.

the craftsmanship was excellent. With how my car feels and drives i believe they were worth every penny.

as kwik said...both are proven sets....I look forward to seeing how the bistate set does. stephens dyno chart is going to be tough to beat considering he's trapping 125+

the numbers down low that the m2 set puts out will also be tough to beat.

I dig upgraded twins cars....but that gt3540 is awesome.

when i upgraded my secondary this winter we pulled the m2 set from my car....they looked good as new.

my manifold has no cracks...those turbos are coming from OZ and there doesnt seem to be a manifold shortage down there. I gave them a thrashed set I had from turbo city as a core and I got back a set that looked equally as clean as the turbos in the above pic...except the wheels spun like magic and they were about as big as could possibly fit.

no one answered my question about the different number of fins on the compressor wheels between two turbo companies.....see my last post...

the comment from Resource about the m2 set wearing out from being pushed hard...interesting considering he is selling a set that will be pushed hard....i wonder if that logic applies there? lol....my set is screaming...no leaks...and has genuine garrett internals....

does the bistate set have that?

just curious....dont jinx my set...hahah....my car is sweet right now.

SPO's car is nasty but i am not gonna go thru the trouble of upgrading my turbos for 20 more rwhp. Alot of people are reporting less rwhp then him anyways. Crap, his car ran something like 12.3 with a freakin; exhaust and intake..
I will have to spend a bit more for the single. But for now i am happy with the stockers...some day.

I'm certainly not dissing BNR as I'll likely be getting some someday, but wonder what that marketing term is supposed to mean.
Sorry, I'm not making fun of you, but when I read this, I just had to laugh. The innocence of ignorance (not in a bad way) is just funny sometimes.

Sorry noob comment but...

how difficult to make FMIC (apexi - for stock twins) fit with a single? Guess wondering what "other" costs are with this. I presume injectors need to be upgraded, and... ?

No offense taken. I was in a mood. The industry I come from the term "dynamic" is abused like a red headed step child. Anyway I've spoke to three, count'em three, different distributors of those pushing dynamic seals for the rx7 and they've all said they've had issues. One said they no longer will carry them.

I like new tech. as much as the next guy, unfortunately, taking off the turbos isn't a fun thing to do and not something I want to have to deal with if something goes wrong...

Artguy: No way that's a stock FD compressor wheel !!!
Rx7, yes but off a Turbo II shoved in a HT-12 housing.
Maybe the early generation BNR stage3 upgrade which did not spool very well.
Now the 2nd picture.....Mitsubishi all the way

Funny how some of you are all over Resource

Does BI State need a test car to prove their upgraded twins ????
Meanwhile I will attempt to rip a 125mph trap speed on stock twins..........

funny...thats what the rx7 store is selling as rebuilt stock twins...at least according to their site....so if those are the bnrs then the bnrs r running mitsubishi internals? hmmm....i love learning about this stuff.

boostn...once again you prove to be very knowledgable...moreso than I.

as far as proving and proof...i think the forum group has learned their lesson with rebuilt turbo sellers...big talk often times...not many producers...hopefully bistate is the place to go...i plan on sticking with twins for a long time. we shall find out. I think everyone..including myself...is just tired of the sales pitch and are calling the cards. if its true...then its party time for the twins crowd.

hell..If you went with an upgrade...i wonder what you would put down? the most on the forums...no contest. right?

If all goes well mine will be together soon. After initial break in and tune, I'll jump on a dyno and see what kind of numbers I can get.

I trust Resourse. Seen his work. Been to the shop. He answers my questions, and provides me with ideas where I need them. Let's hope I can squash the doubt in the next month. Everything has been chosen aside from a fuel system. Ideas are welcome!

Interestingly, Boostn7 hit the nail on the head with the older BNRs. I had an older set running non-seq, clipped wheels when he was using 2nd gen compressor wheels and machining them down to fit the HT-12 housings - he said some reported close to 400 rwhp at 15 psi but no proof - I went with them and non-seq the lag was HORRIBLE - there's another guy on the forum that ran the older ones non-seq and had tremendous lag - like full boost by 4700 rpms

I sent the turbos back to Bryan and he put in new compressor wheels that he's using now (possibly Mitsubishi??? don't know), unclipped wheels running sequential and it's a night and day difference with spooling - these even spool faster than the stock turbos and produce atleast 25 more rwhp - not bad for twins - when these go bad I'm going GT35/40 if I still have my car...
