Ok this is my question: how much hp do you think the upgraded twins added? What is the hp difference between the stock twins and all your upgrades and the high flows and all your upgrades. It kinda sounds like 25-35 hp... Am I wrong? what are you at now? 400?
I guess the whole purpose of them isn't really top horse power numbers its more about how fast they spool. They sound nice. I was planning on doing a single but I wanted to install it myself-these sound like they'd be a lot easier to install.

Yes I want to see the DYNO too....

another things there seems to be alot of dreaming going on it this thread...I dont think upgraded stock twins will get you in the 10's..First 10's takes over 400rwhp +..and some damn good driving...I'm sorry I have the power to run low 12's..guess what I cant ! Why because I suck at launching..drag is not my thing anyways..but I just laugh when I read all this BS and how you all "seem" to think it's easy to run low numbers...

Running 10's in a street car is never going to be easy, but I think it's possible with the FD.

Anthony got close (11.01 I think) with stock twins, ported motor, and all the other normal bolt-ons.

It's just once you get in to the 11's, things start breaking. Axles, differentials, etc, etc...

I think with the following mods, 10's can be attained on twins. Of course, while shooting for 10's I would be sure to have a friend at the track to give me a ride home.

Full exhaust
Intake
Front mount IC
Ignition
Pulleys
Boost controller
Fuel Pump
Upgraded Injectors
Power FC
Upgraded Twins
Kazz LSD
Upgraded Axles (RP, Pettit, etc)
Slicks
LOT'S of tuning....

10's, 11's, 12's.... No matter what, it's a fun car.

My 2 cents....

But still waiting for #s from pepz w/ the M2 BB upgrade

No dyno plots yet. Haven`t had the time. Now there is talk of a dyno opening up here in town again which would save me the 50 mile trip to Tampa. And I also am still considering whether it is such a great idea after reading all the dyno bomb stories on this forum. But in the end I think I will do it just cause I am dying to see some numbers. Until I get a management system and bigger injectors I will only dyno it at 10 and 12psi on 93 octane gas. If I add some toluene to the gas I may run it at 15psi of boost. I have I K&S knock senser turned to almost full sensitivity and never see any retard as of yet.

Well that would be the second new item M2 has discontinued. They have stopped selling their hoods. Sheesh.

The twin setup is still on their web site. Here's a wild idea, why don`t you call them and ask.
And as to the power they make. M2 told me that they have seen 380rwhp so far but that no one has maxed them out yet. The turbos they are using are rated at 400 hp each in a piston engine.

If you had to guess, do you think you are near 380rwhp? Do you keep the rats nest of hoses with this setup?

I was told the same thing by Mostly Mazda. They said that they aren't getting the performance numbers they want and are putting it on hold until they decide what to do. I was told they have them on a car that is making about 350 rwhp.

the car that made 350hp, had a leaky injector o ring and was running way rich. it barely made it home, and would not restart.
its up and running now, with stock twins. with 850/850's it had fuel for the m2 turbos, but noe it has 550/850.

I talked to Brett via e-mail on the 22nd and 25th about the ball bearing upgrade. He did not mention putting anything on hold to me, he mentioned needing two weeks to build the turbo's. He also mentioned "400 rwhp should be easily attainable", of course with the right intake, exhaust, I/C, porting, etc, etc.

I hope so, cause my stock turbos are leaking and I need something to do this winter.

petrosc, I kept the "rats nest" but it's all nice pretty yellow silicone now.

j9fd3s, I am running 550/850 with M2's stage three ECU. I will be running 550/1300 injectors when M2 finishes their own progammable ECU and I get one from them. The more I look into what size injectors I need the more I think that increasing the primaries is not the way to go. And can just end up causing the car to run poorly ( very rich) at low/off the boost speeds.

M2 still sells the ballbearing twins, the only reason for them to stop would be lack of demand as for the hoods, Brian himself as well as Brett had said the reason for not continuing with the hoods was because they didn't meet the quality they were looking for at a price that would be competative with all the cheap crap carbon hoods out there.

This is what I like about M2. They only sell good stuff. If I had bought everything from M2 from the bigining I would have save myself 1000's in the end. I tried 3 intercoolers before I broke down and bought the M2 med. I wish they had come out with this before I went single turbo....
