M2 Stage3 ECU - how much HP are you making ?

If you have M2 ECU and had your car dynoed, please reply with:

1) HP/TQ numbers (dyno graph if possible)
2) Dyno type
3) Mods

Thanks !

thanks,
yeah I had a resonated midpipe. I think thats about the limit on a chipped ecu and stock fuel. This was awhile ago when the PFC hadn't really taken yet.

for 4fun,
I was pulling 16" of vacuum, fr comp was 7.0, rear was 6.5 so it was a bit tired.

the best I did with the M2 ecu at 13 psi was 320ish. I'm sure that thing was nice and rich too. I was pulling almost 18 on the vacuum side or -465 on the PFC now.

Tim:

Can you list your mods? Did you have an ignition amp?

Thanks,
Sonny

yeah, the twin power added 8 rwhp and 16 or so torque from my previous dyno run with the stage 3 and no change other than the ignition system. I wish I had the extra bung in the dp so I could have had A/F ratios to go along with both runs.

As far as mods at the time, M2 intake, M2 med ic, efini y pipe, dp, hi-flow cat, PFS cat-back, full set of pullies, 11.5lb flywheel and the M2 stage 3 and the twin ignition. I think I have a dyno plot showing 296 before the ignition and 304 after.

Ahh... sorry. So what numbers indicate tired motors ? I guess the lower the number, the more tired the engine is.

How much tq were you pushing out ?

I have similar mods to yours sans flywheel, pullies, catback and twin amp and have dynoed 250rwhp/260tq with a midpipe. Damn... I'm easily loosing some 50 or more rwhp somewhere

16-18 good strong motor
13-15 is desent
12 and lower means your motor is getting tired.
Those numbers are just general assuming that the motor is stock (no port work done) Also if your running a air pump, full exaust, and intake will also lower the amount of vaccum being pulled.

aren't you running restrictor plates in your mp? that doesn't account for 50hp, but does count for some of your loss. also what plugs are you running? all 9's or are you still using both 7's and 9's. when was the last time you changed the plugs?

I paid $400 for mine. They go for $350-$450 used depending on supply/demand.

I'm getting on the dyno next week with my M2 Stage 3, intake, dp, exhaust, and boost controller set to 12 psi. I'm hoping for no 7000rpm power loss.

There was one restrictor plate in there. But since I found out my Remust catback is a piece of crap I removed the plate

Plugs I use 7/9 and were changed about 1500miles ago.
I just got 9/9, do you think I should use those ?

I just bought some super conductive car hi-fi cables which I will use to replace the stock grounding wires with. Also, I'm replacing plug wires this weekend also. I'll take out my GTech and so some before-after measurements.

I paid $450 shipped to Europe for mine.

If you won't experience any high RPM ignition breakup you should be over 280rwhp I think.

But as I said, it all depends in what shape your ignition system is. Good luck !

Do like 6 runs before and average them out show the lowest and highest. I know uneven ground affects the G tech alot. Try to find a really flat road.

My plugs are brand new (2 days old) and my wires are also new (about 1 month old). I have a extra grounding wires everywhere, too.

Wish me luck!

Sonny, then you arent getting and breakup are you I suppose ?

Fatman0203: Do you think I should run 9's all around ? I thought 7/9 burns the mixture better but last not so long.

From my understanding and experience running 9s all around is better once you start modding your engine. (my understanding and experience) so far im going on my 2nd set of plugs 9s all around and they seem to show fairly even wear. I would get an amp anyhow, but see how you do with your grounds. Mine are HORRIBLE and one day some day lol, I will get around to replacing them.
