I have Pettit toe-links installed with Baker's seals. If you're considering a similar approach you should note that the seals are molded to thin metal washers that increase the overall spacing requirements by about 1/16 inch, and this MAY require you to do a little work to get everything in place.

I installed the seals only on the body side and left the wheel end without so that I could compare the affects. They've been installed this way for about 14K miles of daily driving without any perceptible difference (yet).

im pretty sure chuck at RE track tests his stuff. he has a pretty mean rx7. all the stuff he makes is excellent quality so there is a slightly higher price but nothing unreasonable at all.

You better lay them side by side before you accuse me of copying.

Making those parts is no rocket science. As long as I make them with good material and, better rod ends and dust seals, they are better than the rest.

If you buy the other company's trailing arms and toe links, you will not be able to use the dust seals without modifying the bushings. Do you think grinding them with your grinding wheel will be as precise as my CNC machined bushing which is made to fit those dust seals?

Thanks for the support. I would like to explain why mine costs more:

1. I supply them with rod end dust seals. Those are $2.50 each.

2. To make the trailing arms and toe links with solid rod, there is more machining involved. Other companies buy those hollow rods so they only need to cut them to length and thread it. Mine has to be extruded just enough to fit the rod ends and then threaded. So the center part of the rod is still solid.

3. I use rod ends that's used on road race cars, not those commercial graded rod ends that's never meant to be used on suspension parts which has extremely high load.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I am considering this also, but have been confused as to the differences. Whenever I look at someone's web site to get info all I get is price and some brief useless info about the product. May I suggest putting this info on your site. I think I'll be buying this over the winter...

I have been speaking w/ Jay at Ground Control. He says that GC is about to start selling their trailing arms/toe links directly rather than having M2 and Pettit rebadge them. Since I've been following this thread, I asked him to address the dust seal issue. He is in contact w/ a seal distributor for dirt-track suspension components. Jay says that he will fit all the pieces w/ dust seals and covers once he gets the specs from the seal company. He is planning on re-machining / re-tooling everything so that there will be no spacer "manipulation" needed. Should make for reliable, no fuss pieces. BTW...the ballpark figure he gave me two days ago was ~$175 per pair.

And at that price everyone is still getting gouged... (unless they are using very nice rod ends...)

It's an armadillo And he's not humping the cone, he's stealthily stealing it

There must be 2 Rotary Performances. They aren't affiliated as far as I know and I only have dealt with the one in Garland, TX. They are rx7.com and have a great reputation.

No experience with the other one, just wanted to point out that there are 2 shops with the same name.

What the hell is wrong with you, spiderman wannabe? You better get your brain checked before talking nonsense on my various threads. I wonder if people will trust a spiderman wannabe.

Would you stop wearing your underwear over your head pretending to be spiderman?

So just so i can be clear, if i buy aftermarket trailing arms i get rid of my rubber bushings which need replacing anyway?? Or just one of these bushings? (3 on each side isnt there?) Do toe links replace the other 2?

Will this make the ride harder or noisier, i.e. no rubber to 'cushion' it?

As you can tell i know nothing about suspension
