M2 Intercooler Pipes and Turbo Outlet Coupling

ok, the m2 hardpipe from the turbo outlet to the IC inlet is crap, it is a very poor design that doesn't line up well at all, plus that it scrapes the hood slightly

lately I've been having problems getting the Samco coupling on the turbo outlet to hold a good seal, it keeps slipping

any suggestions? I'm thinking about just getting a longer coupler with more surface area to hold the pipe in place....the stock coupler is 3" long, I think the ID 2.5", right?

the pipe is so poorly designed you almost need a 90 degree bend coupler from the turbo outlet/y-pipe

Sand the polish off the part that the coupler covers... Might help.

You just need some minor fitment adjustments Get a hammer and flatten the top of the pipe so it doesn't rub. With the Samco coupler, make a small U-cut on the bottom portion so it'll fit more flush. You may also want to change silicone couplers and get the ones that jason sells in the store. They're thinner and stronger so they're easier to work with. The ID is 2 3/4 not 2 1/2.

Haven't had any problems with my M2 IC so far

Yup, I've had both the M2 Med and the Large SMIC. The pipes require some effort to get them to fit. I think that's because they use the 2.75" pipe. You just need to flatten the top a bit. I had to force-fit the strut tower bar down on to the IC pipe(it made a small indentation on the top of the pipe). Now it's all good.
