Low vaccuum; jumpy idle; NOT VACCUUM LEAK THOUGH!!!

So it started to rev at about 2200rpm with lights on, jumps from 1300 to 2000rpm with lights off and has low vaccuum with lights off. I just finished checking and double checking all hoses and gaskets but still won't work right. Now the other wierd thing it does though is it sounds like it's shutting off when the idle jumps down to 1300 from 2000. So i reved it to 3k and it still jumps and sounds like it's shutting off down to 2600rpms. I'm stumped... Almost sound like electrical to me but who knows.

check to make sure the air pump wires are not touching when it goes into the wire harness just after the quick disconnect near the pump. Mine was doing the same actions and that was the issue.

Rx7.com ecu and no check engine lights. It did it after i gave it about a 50-75% load; brought it home and tried to fix but still did it.

The map sensor is the next thing to check tomorrow too.

4Fun: What do you mean exactly??? Mine are disconected but not sure what you mean...

Check the MAP line. Then check for codes and reset the ECU.

Now after checking everything everyone told me to do, i reset the ecu and start it up. Once she warms up, she starts the rpm dance again. On and off it would idle fine then jump a couple of times. Then i give it about 3-4k rpms for 10 seconds and let it idle, and all of a sudden it's on one rotor. No funny noises, no bangs, nothing. Could a fuel injector be bad? I'm about to do a compression test before work so we'll see how that goes.

Compression is fine so i think it's time to check the injectors...

Anyone else have a similar problem with bad injectors besides dgeesaman?

I had one of my injectors stick open once. At startup it wouldn't idle at all. I would have to rev it up to 3000rpm for 15sec and then it would idle fine but you sure could smell all of the unburnt fuel. It also wouldn't accelerate very well due to too much fuel being dumped in.
