Which is louder? Single or Non-sequential

I have heard how loud non-seqential is...
But how does single turbo compare?

My car purrs when idleing next to a non-seqen. but loud at WOT. I imagine about the same as non-seqen. at WOT.

But how loud is the single at idle and WOT?

thanks for the replys

jc.

"Loud" in what respect? Exhaust? It really depends on the shape of the exhaust manifold for the single. Or are you asking if the compressor is louder? That has to do with size, but also the filtering used in front of the compressor. So the answer is ... there is no answer. It's all relative.

Yeah I would think a big single with a un-plumbed/open waste gate would be the loudest...

The single turbo would be louder possibly two ways. The first would be an externally plumbed wastegate. The other would be no doubt a lot more boost than the stock twin can push. More boost, more air, more noise!
