Loud clicking sound under acceleration
In first and second gear under hard acceleration my car will make this decently loud clicking sound that will click maybe 3-4 times that seems to be coming from the Bov. In 3rd gear it will make maybe 1 or 2 clicks. The car doesnt seem to hesitate durring the click but its such a quick click im not sure if it is hesitating. The car does seem to have lost some giddy up but not too much basicly it runs a little different and I can tell. If you have any idea let me know thanks!
it may be pinging. my original motor had chipped apex seals due to pinging. so i would advise, until you are sure what it is, not to get on it hard. what happened in my situation was that when accelerating hard i would here a clicking, more noticeable when the windows are down. it wasn't as many clicks as you have described tho, usually 1-2. did a compression test and i had low compression on my rear rotor. i thought the clicking was something lose under the hood, but it wasn't. in my case, the cause for pinging was due to old spark plug wires. my advise is to check your ignition areas with the simple stuff first, spark plugs and spark plug wires. when i had the new motor put in, the mechanic still detected the same pinging which damaged the first motor. he changed the spark plug wires and the pinging went away.
