Lost my secondary turbo
Lost my secondary turbo
I recently installed a arc intake, and a pettit ecu. I'm now not makeing boost above 5000 rpms. The first turbo boosts Perfectly. When the car reaches 5000 it completly falls on it's face, and the boost gauge read almost 0. I also get a sound the sounds almost like a blocked exhaust. Would this be a vacume line issue or a cloged precat?
Thank you,
Andrew

you lost it?
dude it can't be lost. it's bolted to the motor. go check your engine bay again, i bet she's down there...
hmmm maybe you need more of this stuff on the nuts/studs...

no, seriously though...try checking for boost leaks on the Y pipe. sounds like the CRV is disconnected - maybe a vac line or maybe the rubber hose, but likely something the rear section of the twin-turbo Y pipe would be my first guess.

Recheck your work associated with the intake and any parts nearby. Could be you knocked a vacuum line loose. Also check whatever work you did to install the ECU.
If your work checks out, start going through the turbo troubleshooting procedure using the links in the FAQ thread stickied in this forum.

lol Tom.. I was thinking the same thingAnyway... Take a look at the Check valve coming off the pressure chamber in front of the UIM. Make sure the check valve oriented correctly and functioning properly.
