My condolences to the family. I too had experience with fire. 1 engine fire, and 2 rear bumper fires. If you need any help locating parts, I'm willing to share ALL of my sources to help you get back on the road. just pm me.

damn, so sad to see these storys, i still remember "TwinTurbo93" story and that was 3 years ago or so.. how do the rear fires start, due to the exhaust or the rear fuel lines??

sure hope you get a chance to build another one.

That really sucks, man

Think this way, if that would have happened to me, it would be almost impossible to have another FD again, atleast I move to another country or something...Atleast you can find another one and start all over again...Good luck with whatever you do.

Did you just say that you had to stand there and watch your car burn? That makes it so much worse.
I hope you can hunt down those kids with the fireworks.

The bad thing about apts or town homes is you have no control over what the other people living beside you store in their home/garage and if they start a fire then your gonna be involved.

As a fire marshal/fire inspector I push for all multiple family dwellings to be sprinklered. Remember guys sprinklers save lives and property. They are cheap to install during construction and not too bad after the fact. Most of the time it is cheaper than a lawn sprinkler system. You can dry things out but you can never unburn them.

What is written on the front of my Inspection Book:

Water Hose - $10
Sprinkler System for yard - $3500
Sprinkler System for home to save lives - Priceless!

My hope to you all that are concerned and have garages at your home is that you look into a sprinkler system for your garage at least. Most fires are started in the kitchen, bedroom, then garage.

So sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the sick-to-the-stomach/punched-in-the-gut feeling such a situation would produce... ahhh... I am getting sick just picturing this....
