Been wrestling with a problem I've had for months, and I just wanted to post my experience as it might help someone who has the same problem and those who have been looking here for the answers.

All along I though I had a leak at around 4500rpm since I lose power up there. Checked all lines and surprised I have a different rats nest since its a 98 Rs jdm. Saw somewhere here and Ive been trying to find it just to thank the member for starting the thread, that it's a problem due to the fuel filter.

It felt like it was hesitating big time. Boost was bang on but power felt so weak... She stuttered, shook and backfired. So changed the plugs and a new fuel filter and immediately felt the difference.

So in case anyone is having a problem there don't panic, it might be as simple as this. Cheers!
