Looking for some advice on rx-7 sale
I have a 1993 Touring Package Rx-7 in Montego Blue. The car has had no modifications and 81,300 original miles. An new engine was installed at 51K miles. I am the second owner (since 11K miles) and the car has been driven very conservatively. I think that mechanically, it is in good shape.
I want to sell it, but I am not sure what I should expec to get for it. I am trying to avoid the mass marketing of a webite like Autotrader..
Some obstacles are a fair number of scratches and dents, although I consider them fairly normal for a 15 year old car. The interior plastic door handles are in rough shape, stereo is shot and the power antenna is not working properly. I had one minor accident in 2000 resulting in minor body damage to the nose, nothing mechanical.
Thoughts?

Big difference with the Jap and Oz market where the cars have as little as high-teens in the way of km's. Stateside they're really getting on in the age and mileage department...

Can't really tell much from the pictures, but your description gives the impression that the car is pretty tired-looking inside and out. Also, the fact that stereo and antenna is broken does not give a good impression - if you don't maintain pretty simple stuff like that on your car, what else have you skipped on maintenancewise? Add the least desirable exterior and interior colours, and you are probably in the $12k ballpark.

The interior of the car looks really good (at least from the pic) I cant see the drivers side seat as well and those are usually pretty beat.
It is a nice car! GL with the sale!
