First off, the FD doesn't use "Struts"; it uses "Shocks". There is a difference.
People confuse them, but if the product is for the FD, it's a shock. Here you go:

ANd also just commenting on what you first posted
New OEM upper shock mounts
New OEM Pillow Ball bushings
Where can I look at different options/pricing for these?

DAMNIT MAHJIK, I thought I was going to impress you and howard coleman because it was a thread that you and him were all over and I was mostly going off of what ya'll two were saying from this thread https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ght=tein+basic and another one I read a few days ago about the tein basic or flex coilovers over struts.
Cmon please just give me some kind of appreciation.

Anyone have any experiences with the Racing Beat springs? They drop the rear 1.5" compared to the RSR's .6". The Racing Beats are a 7% increase over stock while the RSR is 30-50% over stock. Is there a problem running this low of a spring with only a 7% increase?
I want the 1.5" drop in the rear because the car as it sits stock seems to be a little higher in the back (or am I wrong on this). It seems this would give the car a "flatter" looking stance instead of a slightly jacked up one.

Maybe someone can help me out while helping wb123 at the same time.
Same topic but a little more specific in my need for knowledge
Tokico now offers (basically) 4 shock/spring options for the FD RX-7.
1. Illumina shocks (part numbers Front BU3465, Front BU3466, Both Rear BU3467)
2. Illumina shocks with matching Tokico Springs (part number ILK292)
3. D-Spec/HTS shocks - 4 the same (part number HTS602)
4. D-Spec/HTS shocks with matching springs (part number HSK603)
Both the Illumina and D-Spec/HTS shock/spring combination packages say they give a 1" drop front and rear, but I can't find any information on the most important fact of all: what the spring rates are! I called Tokico's offices in California and in Michigan and talked with the technical "manager/guru" at both facilities and neither of them could (or possibly "would") tell me.
Anyone have any idea or inside info about these "new" shock/spring packages from Tokico? Does anyone own a set? Does anyone own a set of the D-Spec/HTS shocks - and have an opinion?
All the Tokico information I can find relates to the Illumina series - which are a great value for what they do - but I find little if any information supporting any of the other Tokico options.

I just found a site that has some kick *** prices for the FD. It's called HopUp racing. Tein Basic's are $712 with free shipping and an entire set of tokico illuminas (front 2 rear 2) for $509 with free shipping. Here is the link http://hopupracing.com/suspension18.html

How do i adjust the Tokico Illuminas?
like is it just reach your hand in up on top of the shock and then fiddle with some sort of dial or is it easy and precise to change?

No it's not Turbo'd
Falken Azenis R615 are somewhere around the 140-160$ range and are often used on autocross due to performance / price. The treadlife isn't going to be as good as on some Michelin, Pirelli, or Yokahama's, but you're not paying $250 a tire either...
I have some VERY HARSH HKS Proformer II's on my FD, and with the coilover setup you can adjust ride height, and well as shock dampening, with a ring, and a valve on top of the shock. The Proformer's are not everybody's cup of tea, especially around town, but on the track I love 'em....
I was worried about wheel hop and blowing my Torsen Diff, I was eyeballing the Kaaz, but at $1K it was on my "Maybe, if the torsen breaks list" so I started looking at alternatives, T2 Diff, etc... when I found the derlin bushing kit, eliminated all wheel hop on my FD, removed all slop in steering suspension, and removed clunking during accel / decel... now I did do the pillow ***** at the same time... but that was the best $500 I've spent on my suspension ... made the car feel a lot more solid. Some say "New Again" I never knew what an FD felt like new... so I can't comment...
My $.02

nice post
can you link me the derlin bushing kit and where i can buy that ?
Does that replace all bushings in the rear? are there any bushings in the front to replace?
and by just replacing the bushing with the derlin bushing kit solved all your wheel hop etc.. ?
