Looking for the person on the forum who bought these used wheels on Ebay...

I know this is in the wrong section, but I know someone on this forum who owns an FD bought these wheels on Ebay some time ago:

I am trying to track down who is was becuase I want to know if they ever put them on an FD, if they have pictures of that, and if they might want to sell them in the future.

I am a wierd person. I like these and this style of wheel A LOT. I also like Mazdaspeed MS-02s, so that might tell you something.

Anyways, does anyone remember who bought these? Pictures of these wheels were posted on the forum so I'm hoping someone will remember or the owner of them will see this.

thanks,
James

They are real wheels. The picture is just distorted due to a fish-eye lense effect. I have other pictures of them. A guy on this forum did buy them, and yes I would put them on my FD, so there.

I hope somone sees this who remembers, as opposed to more people who just to make a joke.

You guys who hate these wheels...I would bet you are all youngsters. You aren't old enough to understand or appreciate this type of style. This is an older style wheel, and it's a type of wheel that was used by many different racing series. It's extremely "function over form", and I find that to be beautiful. I would paint the centers black and put them on my white FD and it would be freaking awesome. I don't care what other people think...

I wish I knew. If I knew I could actively be looking for a set to buy. Someone on here knows and owns them, they just haven't seen the thread yet.

They aren't THAT old, but they are old enough. 15 years is a long time. Do you remember when "grunge" music became huge? You know, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam? FDs came out before that! FDs came out before they had invented the term "alternative music." People still wore acid washed jeans. Hair metal was on the wane but still popular. It still seems like a new car to me, but the era when they came out really was a different time.

yeah you got a point there...they would just look funny on an FD...but imo they would look more at home on an FC...

I did know about the Ronal Turbo, but it doesn't come in a large enough size and it says "TURBO" on it, which is kinda tacky. The Schmidt wheel looks cool and comes in 16x8 but the highest offset available is 30mm.

Well, to be honest, wheels, for me, are tough to give a real judgement on when they are not on the car. My first impression was they look like they belong on a 84 Regal , but I guess I will have to see what they look like on the car.

^ agreed, you can like a rim, but you have to see what it looks like on the car first...when i first saw those it looked like it was a hubcap from some early 90s honda

I think they look awesome, but they are better suited to the lines of an FC. I just can't picture them on an FD. The FD deserves something that looks more modern and technical.
