Looking to buy an FD...inital thoughts? Mods?

Ok. I am looking into buying an FD right now. If I DO end up buying the one I'm looking at...I need some opinions.

What mods should be performed, to make the car more reliable? I'm not worried so much about performance right now, I don't want any unnecessary stress put on the motor.

So far, I've been told a few things is all I need:

Radiator (Fluidyne/Becool)
Change to FC thermoswitch
Change to FC thermostat

And..I'm coming right out of the FC area. What kind of fluids do these cars take..? I use Castrol GTX 20w50 in my T2, just wondering exactly how everything is setup on these cars.

Any help is appreciated!

Forget that FC stuff, I never did any of it. Just read the FAQ.. it answers most everything.
