Thanks for the info Jim. If the trap speed is an indication of the wheel hp of the car and not the et, then the 5 speed is putting more hp to the ground than the stock auto. Is that correct? Sort of ties in with what Max said, the auto saps more hp than the 5 speed. Both cars were rated at 255 hp, but one has a 3 mph edge in the last 60 ft.

Yep.

Sort of ties in with what Max said, the auto saps more hp than the 5 speed.
20% drivetrain losses vs. 15%, give or take.

I disagree. I think the number of TRASHED fds is INCREASING and is now more of an option for want to be sports car owners.
