Looking To Buy

Hello everyone, I am looking to buy a 3rd gen rx-7, there are a few I am looking at in the Massachusetts area, Actually and they are both over the 50k mi mark.....
I have heard alot about the engine going and requireing it to be rebuilt or the turbos to die out, Do you think its a good idea to buy a rx-7 with that many many miles cause I dont want to buy a car and then within a week have to put in a new engine or new turbos.... Also do you have any tips on what to check when I go see the cars... Thankyou very much for your help. Appreciate it. Oh also and these are the ones...

I know the mi

I know the mileage is very low for an old car like that but this is all just crossing my mind ever since I see many rx-7's with rebuilt engines at only like 80k mi. and so on...

Just like the post 5 down from yours with the same questions....read this
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...threadid=68640

If you don't want to rebuild, don't get this car.

If it's in good condition then it's up to your hand when you'll need the rebuild. But the sure is sometime you;ll need it.

Steve Cirian's site has some good info on Buying a used RX7. Most of your questions will be answered when you read this:

Both those cars look good. Its not so much the Motor or the turbos as it is the ownership. Mods are ok if they are done properly keeping Fuel and cooling in mind. I would look for a stock or near stock low mile car to be sure. I live in NH and if you need help looking at a car let me know. I'll go with you and check them out before you buy.

It all depends on who drove it and how it was maintained. Are the owners the original owners or have there been numerous ones? take someone knowledgeable about FD's with you. Once you feel those turbos kick in you know you got a deal!

Hmmm... something's shady... Click on the link for "Car 2", then click on this link. Same car or a misrepresentation?

Hey sundeep, we should get together sometime, I'm in Worcester.

I'd be willing to go help you check out a car if you find a good one in the area, or if you just want a ride
