fuel level sender specs

im troubleshooting my problems with my gas gauge and i cant find the specs for the fuel level sender in any of the service manuals.

i need to know the full and empty resistance.

ive measured it at about 1500 to 1400 which is about the standard 90 ohm range but usually this is 0-90.

ok then i went and took my meter and a pot and figured it out myself. for future reference its 0 ohms full 90 ohms empty which is standard.

now i think the float is hitting the baffle. does anyone have a pic of what it should look like directly inside the access cover? is the baffle supposed to run that close to the pump?

I have the exact damn problem!! It hits and either reads from F to 3/4 or 1/4 to E Depending on how it settles in. A pic would be great!
