Looking for advice on intake/air box...

I am installing a Greddy IC and Pettit duct and want to keep my stock air box. I am also installing Adam C's cheap bastard heat shield.

The question is what to do with the original intake pipe to the air box. Could I or would I want to cut a hole in the Pettit and mount like stock? Should I block it off and just make it look connected? I'm trying to keep it looking stock for smog purposes.

Any advice or suggestions would be Fricken awsome.

Dave

Although it is restrictive, the stock inlet provides an excellent source for cool air. Testing has shown that performance is better when retaining the stock ducting, in addition to the intake mod.

I suggest that you cut the Pettit duct, and mount like stock.

keep the stock inlet and cut the bottom of the box with the adam c kit. it works great and the best part is no smog problems.
