Gas milege isnt very good and you have to run premium at least. Quarter mile times depend on driver but my guess is should be in the mid-high 12s range.

that is your first post? what are your concerns? are you looking for good fuel economy? your question is a little hard to understand why you would be asking this? give us an idea why and maybe we can help a little better.

Not to be a rude one, but if you are worried about the price of fuel, this is the wrong car for you. There are a ton of other expenses that make whether gas is 2.50 or 4.50 a gallon seem inconsequential. Of course I may be bitter, I am going to be buying my third motor in two years soon...

I really hope you have done your research on these cars and read the stickys. i personally wouldnt depend on a moded FD for my daily driver. Do you allready have a car in sight that you want to buy?? My guess is that my car gets around 15 city miles w/ the stock injectors. But thats not if im on the throttle hard alot.

nobodys bitching or being jealous. If i had that much money the last thing i would be worried about was gas prices though.

egine size1.3twinturbo rotary, stock hp 255hp, easily modded to 350hp range. gas mileage 15 to 18 stock. awsome car but you will be spending a lot of money on it, well below the price of a 911turbo but still lot of money to most of us.

Oh don't get your panties in a bunch! We all went through this when we had a low post count. Oh wait! my count is still pretty low lol

You'll absolutley love the car! They're great! I bought mine back in Novermber. Drove it for a week and found that the turbos were blown! Decided to fix that along with everything else that was fucked up, and have not drove it since. I'm in about 6k in repairs. 1k to go. D

He never said anything about gas prices. I could really care less how much gas is a gallon, but I'd still like to know how much it eats. Maybe I'm the only wierd one, but hopefully not.

lazy, how much do you know about rotaries? will you be working on this car yourself? IMHO the FD is a car you should research a few months--read posts and responses and the like--before going out to buy the car, also the FAQ at the beginning of the 3rd gen forum is IMMENSELY helpful. kthxbye

Haha...I've been researching it for 4 years ever since I passed up my first chance at one when I was 17. I'm glad I did, because we'd prolly have one less RX on the road today. I've just made my first offer on one and after all of this time, I'm still not sure if I'm ready. Plus it's kind of lonely on an island that has one or two other RX-7s on the island with you.

I get any wher from 9 to 23mpg. Depends on you and the condition the car is kept in. If you stick your foot in it and do allot of around town driving 9mpg. The high side is highway crusing at 80mph staying out of the boost and got 23 0n the trip avsolute best was 25 average is 15 with the town playing and highway. With the rwhp your looking at probably in the 11mpg range. Your new try searching and using the FAQ's as all your questions can be found.

I agree it's great your asking questions, but there is a ton of info already one here without asking the same stuff tha't been answered. Read the FAQ' it tell you everthing you'd ever need to know or want to know about these cars. If your working on eating your retirement funds up this car will do it well (depending on your expectations) I bought a car first then found this forum, wrecked the first car and like a dumbass went ahead and bought two more of these cars. You either love em or hate em but there a cult thing.

88,000 right now. I bought it with a Salvaged title. The car was wrecked then rebuilt by a body shop owner for his 16 year old son. The guy sold it immediatly when he found out what kind of car these things really are. He though it was a reliable gas saver! lol. Overall the car is in pretty good condition, passed smog and all the requirements to get this thing back on the road (legally). 7k was the price, plus about another 7k in replacements and mods (single turbo now). Don't mean to hijack the post, but maybe this will help you in making your decisions. I wish you the best! D
