^Eventually...but no need if there is nothing wrong with it. It's the pre-cat that needs to be replaced with a downpipe that's a must. You gonna buy this car or what?

You really need to read through this link before you blow an engine.

Just FYI, these cars have a "pre-cat" and a "main cat".

The pre-cat is replaced with a "downpipe" and the main cat is replaced with either a hi-flo cat or a midpipe. Before changing out the "main cat", do some research here on the forum. The pre-cat is good to replace with a downpipe as it holds a lot of heat in the engine bay.

Again, unless there is something wrong with it, e.g., clogged, forget the HFC for now. Get the car tuned up and replace all fluids. Enjoy the car as-is, then think about what direction you want to take it, then read, search, and ask questions. After a while, you'll begin to see who's info is of value and who's FoS.

And BTW, congrats on the buy.
