Longest differential ratio for stock housing?

I've got a 350z 6speed in my fd currently. Love the 6 gears but the stock 4.1 diff is too short with the power on tap and cruising rpms are too high.

I'm aware of the auto 3.9

Read some thing about a 3.7 from a 929?

Any more information on this or different options?

Thanks!

Basically, no. That gear exists, but you'll never find one - they're all gone. What you can do is swap in a Ford 8.8", and use any ratio you want.

You can still find some complete 3.909 auto FD diffs out there.
A friend got one last fall.

Or if you got the money, go to:

http://www.rhdjapan.com/re-amemiya-f...909-fd3s-51126

I use a 3.909 diff with my series 8 Japanese trans with the .806 fifth gear.

its a manual trans us market 929 stick, which is about as rare a car as a 1962 Ferrari GTO, i've personally seen more Ferarri's than manual 929's. gear is NLA new

taller tires/wheels would be easier

I'm using and adapter plate to attach it to my 1jz vvti engine

An adapter to a rotary should be possible, the trans fits in the tunnel pretty well
