lol...these cars are NOT tall....

I was struck by the height difference today between my Ford FX4 and the FD....
The FD doesn't even come to the top of the doors of the F150!

As for the '99 spec lights....I prefer to keep as much original as possible.

I haven't run into many cars I've been able to look down on...other than the occasional Elise.

Nice winter ride Greg. But I can't help but be a little suspicious of anyone with a garage that clean.

My mazda 3 looks like an SUV sitting next to my FD in the garage.

Really funny you post this... I sat my car back on the ground yesterday after being on jack stands for 6 months and the first thing I thought was "huh, I don't remember the car being that short". Then it looked even shorter when I backed it out of the garage and it was next to my Z.

These cars are tiny in general, but you don't really realize that until you see one on the road, it feels pretty roomy. The S2000 is quite a bit more cramped.

Nice looking FD, baja

Are you passing up the Stig on the INSIDE?! or is it the other way around??

I have a friend w/ a G35 that has that thing sitting on the ground bc he's trying to get as low as me (tokico illumina + eibach's) he doesn't get it.

I agree all.

I remember back in the day when I had only saw pictures of FD's and never one in person. Growing up in WV, they just weren't around at all. One day I finally got to get up close to one and I was amazed how much smaller they were in person.

My FD's roof sits below my chest, and it's not even lowered much....lol

I have a mini I used to park next to. The mini looked HUGE. The pics don't do it justice.

Yep, these are small cars!

I'm a tall guy, but my bellybutton is above the roof on the car!

I don't know what you guys are talking about, this car is a perfectly large vehicle. I can barely see over the dash.

I do have to say the only car that has made my FD look large and dated was a Lotus Elise.

here's my version! triumph is plenty roomy for 2 people

the FD relevant part is i had an Rx3 next to a 1st gen, next to an FC in the driveway, guess which one is the smallest?

the FC, and i think the FD is an inch or two smaller than that. Rx3 is longer and taller than any of the rx7's....

Oh man, I know this feeling! I had mine on jack stands for about 2 years waiting to save the funds for the new engine, and when I put it back down on the ground I too was like, "JEBUS H. CHRISTMAS....that is low!"

haha, I'm with you guys on this. I just took mine down after 6 months on stands and that was the first thing that I remarked on, it's so easy to forget how short they are compared to most other cars around.
