Location of speedo wiring?

I just bought an fd with a fresh rebuild and i can't get the speedometer to work. also the back up lights don't work. i checked the wiring at the tranny and there is only one way to plug them in. any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's VERY easy to pinch/break the wires on the speedo sensor, backup switch, etc when removing the tranny. Or if you have a bad engine mount or ppf, the motion of the tranny could smash them. The speedo sensor is usually less vulnerable, I think.

Unfortunately repairing these wires is difficult/impossible. You can see pics with my tranny rebuild writeup at www.davidgeesaman.com
