Location of Ignition Harness (Drivers Side Dash)

I am adding the Painless Performance Fuse block to my car to run the accessories. The trouble I am having is my inability to read wiring diagrams to the degree I would like to locate a specific connector. I have done several searches on the forum but all I am getting is stuff having to do with the ignition harness for the coils.

The connector in question I am looking for is the ignition harness for the vehicle so I can wire the switched voltage wire for the fuse block just to power on the block itself as it will be connected directly to the battery.. I know what wire I need to splice into if I could only find the connector as there are a couple that look like this.

The specific connector I am refering to is in this write up with the t-tap on it: Chronus

Toward the bottom there is a section marked "Remote On Wire". And there is a white connector with what looks like a red button to pull it off. Under my dash I see 2 connectors that look similar but one is all white and the other is white with a yellow button.

I have a 1994 RX-7 if that is helpful for finding this particular wire. Any pictures of where I should be looking or reference parts to look near would be super helpful.

Thank you so much guys!

Robert

I use the switched source right above the fuse panel, just solder a male quick disconnect connector onto your wire and plug it in

That location at the fuse box powers off during cranking. So if you powered your ecu via that point, your ecu will not turn on, but your car will crank over.

It won't matter which connector you use, as long as you tap into the Black with white stripped wire. To my understanding all black with white stripped wires are power on during cranking.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Henry, is that the red wire going into the fuse block? I'll have to double check but I think I have my boost controller wired in there. I shouldn't have an issue tapping into the wire for the boost controller if I'm only using it for signal alone right?

I'm not looking to power an ecu with it, it's going to be an auxiliary fuse block to power accessories like gauges and stuff.

Yup, the red wire going into a slot right above the fuse box cover. I would remove it if you have your BC hook up there now, use that as the trigger for your fuse block and have the fuse box feed the BC, that's how I have mine hook up.
