Location of blowoff valve?

There are two plastic valves that look like compressor bypass valves with hoses going into the airbox. What is the one that runs from the intake manifold to the airbox (this is the one that has only about 3" of hose between the airbox and the valve)? Does the car have 2 blowoff valves? That doesn't make too much sense but...these cares are not known for their conventionalism.

Yes, yes. But which is which? Is the one mounted closer to the airbox the blowoff valve or is the one mounted about a foot back of the airbox the blowoff valve?

The one closest to the airbox is the BOV.

hmmm... if u go with an aftermarket BOV can you just pull both the crv and blowoff valve out or do you have to keep the crv?

You have to keep your CRV. The CRV bleeds excess boost from the secondary turbo until it reaches 4500rpm then it closes.

Thats funny...the blow off valve on mine seems to be the lower hose...the one with the tiny 3" rubber piece to the airbox. It was definetly louder when I disconnected it. When I disconnected the top one off from the airbox, car still sounded the same. Are you sure MArtini?

The hoses could have easily been switched at some point in time. It wont matter if the hose is going to the top hole or the one below it on the airbox. The BOV like I said previously is the valve that is closest to the airbox.

The BOV should be in the hose that comes from the center of the 'Y' pipe - The CRV comes up from near the second (rear) turbo
