Locating Oil Leak

Could I be experiencing problems from a leaking Oil Injector????? How do i get to the oil nozzles...i know they r located on the housings somewhere...on passenger side?

- i have smoke coming from the engine bay (smells like oil) after boost run and normal driving..boost runs cause it occur faster

- slow drip when the car is running from oil pan...no leak when car is not running

- chekc under the car numerous times....MANY MANY times...cleaned the pan each time and engine each time with brake cleaner...look like majority of oil is on lower passenger side of engine...looks like it could be the pan, theres oil on

pan, actuator, and always a drip hanging on the actuator vac line...there is never any oil leakage or drips on the visible turbo oil lines

- where do i look for the oil injection lines and nozzles? where are these located...what do i have to take apart to get to them?

-whats the best way of locating this leak...remove the intake box, y pipe, and hoses, and turbo shields?....should i purchase some kind of DYE to illuminate the oil leak/leaks under uv light?

I lean towards thinking its not the oil pan because of the smoke from the engine bay...oil pan leak shouldnt cause smoke in the bay unless its bad?

The oil injectors are located on the passenger side of the rotor housings. the lines run from the injectors, across the motor and down the front driver's side towards the lower passenger side corner of the motor.

You'll have to remove a lot of parts to get to them if you still have stock sequential turbos. If this is indeed your problem, it's almost definitely the original oil metering lines---I have never seen the injectors themselves leak. I recommend replacing them with stainless steel lines.

You would have to have quite a leak if it was from the oil injector nozzles to hit the floor.

Check this thread and you can see where the nozzles are located:

The oil would pool there for a while with the LIM installed. Now a broken oil line to the nozzles would be a problem.

well...looks like this is going to be an intense job if it is the oil injector lines/line that is leaking

how can be completely sure of where the leak is coming from...

last night i drove it pretty hard pulled into the garage got under and above the car with a flashlight while running...it only smokes when its on and its definately coming from RIGHT BEHIND THE UIM...if you had no common sense you would swear it was coming from the trannny where it mounts to the engine...it smells strongly like oil but i cannot find oil anywhere....should i pull the UIM off? i dont know where to start

if this helps to narrow it down, ------when cabin fans are on i can smell and see it coming through the vents sometimes
