It lives; Top Gear 1999 RX-7 Review...

Ive been looking all over for this! And i guess they did do one in 1999, but who is this girl? And she knows nothing of the car, and dosent show it off at all. But still a "positive" Review non the less.

Ah awesome, thanks for that. Sorry if it was posted before.

But just cant believe she didnt have a ton of fun whipping the car around, and revving it right up. Just drove it as if it was a civic.

It's possible that it was someone's personal car, rather than one sent to them for flogging.

She calls the car feminine My fiance also says this and it pisses me off to the highest degree.

I imagine this is going to turn into a discussion about the displacement of a rotary engine.

it wasn't a car they could abuse.. that car was a grey import for sale that was "lent" to them..

her reviews are generally much more agressive..

i'm amazed u don't know who VBH is.. she's quite famous.. (well at least on this side of the globe) she's been around for quite some time

As someone else commented elsewhere, no mention of the fabulous chassis/handling.

Until the renesis, the europeans have always called the 13B a 2.6L.

Shouldn't have had the review on "Top Gear" then, haha. Its all about "Flooring" with Top Gear.

But i understand what your saying i just wanted a typical Top Gear review of our baby.

She is now one of the hosts of 5th gear. there was some big blowout with the old hosts of top gear (clarkson was one of them) so they parted ways. top gear was gone for a while until jeremy decided to start it back up again with new hosts.

No it's just the in the uk someone at the dvla decided that it was a 2.6 as we pay road tax on engine size.

Didnt a non-turbo 911 sticker for like $80k back then? Personally I'd rather have the FD at 20 grand less.

That is from a show call "5-th gear" not "Top Gear"

from wiki

Media career

In 1997, she joined the BBC's flagship motoring show Top Gear. After the BBC cancelled the original show in 2001, Butler-Henderson, along with co-presenters Quentin Willson and Tiff Needell, moved to Channel 5 in 2002 to continue their work on a show now called Fifth Gear.

That IS from Top Gear, not Fifth Gear - you can see the logo at the beginning. Old Top Gear was LAME, a lot like the current 5th Gear. The new Top Gear didn't start until '02 or something with the new format and lineup.

My favorite comment is that 6-footers won't fit in the car. I'm 6'6", fit just fine .

She had more to say about the stupid Japanese back seats than anything else on the car!

That review was weak. I love when people bitch and moan about interior luxuries on a pure bred sports car. In my opinion, performance is a luxury.
